Within our Centre for Methodology and Data Valorisation, which includes pre-clinical and clinical Biostatistics, Pharmacoepidemiology and Medical Writing, we are looking for a:

Experienced Biostatistician – Oncology – M/F


Oncology is a therapeutic area where all the phases of clinical development inspire innovation. The advances in targeted therapies and monoclonal antibodies have helped to highlight the needs to implement adaptive trial designs and innovative statistical methods in order to optimize the development plans of new drug candidates in oncology.

Missions:

Within the Biostatistics Oncology Department, you will be responsible for the methodological and statistic aspects of a portfolio of projects in Oncology.

For all assigned projects, you will be responsible for:

• Design and implementation of appropriate adaptive designs.
• Exposition of the statistical methodology related to the study design in the clinical trial protocol.
• Development of tools to support the decision steps of adaptive studies
• Supervision of the preparation and/or drafting of statistical analysis plans and data-mining
• Interpretation of results and participation in the drafting of publications
•Contribution to the setting of documents submitted to Health Authorities


Outside the Department, you will have daily interactions with the teams in therapeutic development and Regulatory Affairs also involved in these projects,
and you will participate in the development of the expertise within the Centre for Biostatistics and Methodology within the Group.

Your Profile:


PhD, Master2 or graduate of engineering school such ENSAI, in the field of Biostatistics, Mathematics or modelling, with a minimum 3 years of experience in clinical trials in Oncology and a strong interest in the methodology of experimental designs. A first experience in submitting a new drug application would be highly appreciated.

Required skills:


• Good knowledge of Bayesian methods
• Familiarity with R and SAS software
• Ability to explain complex methods (both oral and written) with other biostatisticians and clinical collaborators
• Good interpersonal and listening skills
• Good level of oral and written English
