The Biostatistics section of the SBS/BVS (Société Belge de Statistique/Belgische Vereniging voor Statistiek) was founded in 1993. Its members are mainly statisticians working in or for the pharmaceutical industry, or in a statistics department at a Belgian university. The section's objectives are to organise meetings or courses on statistical issues pertinent to the pharmaceutical industry, to promote collaboration with academic experts and to open or maintain contacts w ith official authorities and other statistical associations
